I applaud your earnestness. Many countries in the world need sortition. I do think with some low-bar thresholds like a simple test concerning the office a sortition candidate hopes to hold, there is vast potential here. Particularly on the local level.

I am personally going to run for political office espousing sortition in Chicago's 2023 aldermanic elections and I encourage you to learn more and do the same where you can. Appealing to current politicians with systems that don't advantage them is a non-starter, so we have to win at their game first.
