What C.M.S.A. Members Can Do
The Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association (C.M.S.A), the same organization which brought you Jack Nielsen and Todd Paulson, has announced an election for three positions on the Board of Directors that will commence on July 21st.
In 2019, I ran for election to the Board of Directors, lost, and was also denied an appointed position. I have played in various leagues run by the C.M.S.A. organization since 2007, was the Tournament Director for two years of the Pride on the Pitch Soccer Tournament, and have held a position as commissioner in the C.M.S.A. Soccer league.
The 2019 Annual Report was delivered to members present at the June 20th, 2019 board meeting. As of the June 8th, 2020 meeting, C.M.S.A.’s Board of Directors were “debating how/when the annual report will be handled (electronic text vs. video).” Unfinished Business. 3. Elections. b. As of July 14th, 2020–7 days before an election — no annual report has been provided. A member of the C.M.S.A. Board of Directors has stated that the annual report may come out by the end of the month, which may occur after the aforementioned election.
It would appear that instead of focusing on turning in an annual report before an election, the C.M.S.A. organization has concerned…
