I don't think creating should be about making money in the short term. If you want that, you should sell a product or novel training (fitness, programming, etc.) course. Those topics never go out of style and self-help is an oversaturated market.

I write because an article speaks to me for some reason. I have found that doing this has made me a better writer, which for me is the point of writing.
